Weirding the City: Encountering Deep Time and Inter-Dimensional Portals in Un/Familiar Places

Weirding the City: An interactive day exploring the uncanny nature of modern cities and contemporary urban landscapes, taking our cue from the short stories of Mary Butts, Arthur Machen and others. We’ll be discussing our own experiences of the strangeness of cities, personal accounts of timeslips, unnoticed pathways, ghostly encounters and brushes with land spirits: attendees are encouraged to bring and share their own stories. What do the narratives of the weird city tell us about time, place and space? How have our own encounters changed the way we see familiar places and our perceptions of reality? BOOK HERE
